Kansas Flint Hills Quilt Trail County Rep Lori Hambright
Reports On County Fair Parade, Abilene, August 1st
Lori reports that a few thousand people were along the parade route this year. Great Job!!
Several photos prior to the parade:
First photo: Finished product with Judy Sorenson and Mary Ray. They helped Lori assemble the float exhibit and contributed items. Sherry Osland of Praiseworks quilting also loaned them 'barn quilts'.
2nd photo: Amanda's Bakery & Bistro in Abilene help support the parade entry in terms of lending the vehicle.
3rd photo: "Left" side of float. Wade Hambright, on opposite side of truck, Lori's son, constructed the 'barn frame' that the barn quilts were displayed on.
And more parade photos taken by a friend along the parade route.
